unescape()

This method is the opposite of the 'escape()' method, and is used to return the URL encoded hexadecimal value back to the normal, ISO-Latin-ASCII form.

syntax:

unescape(string)

EXAMPLE

var URLCodedValue = "%40%20%40";

var unURLCodedValue = unescape(URLCodedValue);

document.write("The URLCodedValue ('+URLCodedValue+') ");

document.write("evaluates to " + unURLCodedValue);

The above example prints to the screen the characters "@ @" - two asterisks with a space between them. This is because an asterisk is represented by the %40, and a space is represented by the %20.
